Teenage Network recorded huge success on the Strengthening Indigenous Communities to Promote Girls Right project. The project which was designed to change harmful sociocultural norms that promotes Violence against adolescent girls resulted to zero tolerance to child molestation in Pigba-Sama community.

Girls in Pigba-Sama and Kpuduma communities learnt about their sexual and reproductive health right for the first time during the Teenage Network’s Girls Academy. This empowered Goodness, a 17year old serial survivor of sexual abuse to report her abuser. Through the knowledge acquired on the project, the community took collective action to ensure the Abuser was arrested and prosecuted.

“Pigba-Sama no dey tolerate sexual abuse again o”, the Women leader said.
