OLANIKE TIMIPA-UGE
Olanike is a gender-transformative education specialist with 12 years of experience combating negative gender norms in schools, providing alternative education to out-of-school adolescent mothers, and advocating for gender-transformative education systems in Nigeria. Her work has impacted more than 100,000 adolescent girls across 7 states in Nigeria. Currently, she serves as a Co-lead for the partners coalition for ending gender stereotypes in schools hosted by the United Nations Education Initiative (UNGEI). She has previously served as UNESCO Youth Researcher on Covid-19, Global Youth Ambassador with Theirworld, Advisory Committee Member for the USAID SCALE Project, Global School Advocate with the UN Sustainable Solution Network-Youth. She is an awardee of Mandela-Washington Fellowship ’24 and a Profession Development Experience Fellowship by the US Department of States.
Olanike holds a first degree in nursing science and a Masters of Public Health. She also studied Nonprofit management and Leadership in civic engagement from the Lagos Business School and Florida Gulf Coast University respectively.
COMFORT AJOCK
Comfort Ajock is a diligent Finance Officer with a proven track record of excellence. With her goal-driven skills, she has undertaken complex assignments in the pursuit of her accounting career. Comfort has a 9years experience in the NGO space.
Currently, as the Finance and Admin Officer of Teenage Education and Empowerment Network, she coordinates Teenage Network’s financial operations daily and ensures that a suitable financial system is in place. She is accountable for producing financial reports that meets donors’ reporting requirements, overseeing project expenses to guarantee that Teenage Network remains within the budget, and providing prompt financial management guidance.
GLADYS OGHENE
Gladys is a girls’ right advocate with a knack for program design and implementation. She holds a Bachelors degree in Public Administration from Benue State University, Nigeria and a Master’s degree in Operations Management and Business Analytics from the University of Salford, United Kingdom. She has also completed a feminist leadership course with the United Nations Girls’ Education Initiative (UNGEI)
She currently sits on the Malala Fund Young Women Advisory Committee as the Nigerian representative. Gladys currently works with Teenage Network as a program Officer.
GRACE IBE
Grace Ibe Anaja is a graduate of English and Literary Studies. She is a Strategic Communication enthusiast and editor who has worked on several publications. She has volunteered with several non profits, working to realise the Sustainable Development Goals. Her passion for social causes influenced her role as the team lead for the
LEP Impact, a community service project at an Internally Displaced Persons camp, and her
journey in the development space. She loves exploring various forms of art and enjoys watching movies and documentaries.
